Agency service termsWho we are
Gigshot is operated by Gigshot Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17485846), 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom ("Gigshot", "we"). Contact: legal@gigshot.pro. These terms govern your use of the Gigshot app and website (the "Service").
What Gigshot is — and is not
Gigshot is a connection platform. We help touring artists find and connect with local videographers and photographers ("creators"). That is the platform, and using it is free.
Gigshot takes no commission on any gig. Gigshot never holds, escrows, or transfers gig money. Payment for a gig is agreed and settled directly between the artist and the creator, outside the Service. Gigshot is not a party to that agreement or transaction, and does not mediate, arbitrate, or adjudicate disputes between artists and creators. If a gig goes wrong, the parties resolve it between themselves; the two-way review system is the accountability mechanism the platform provides.
This neutrality is deliberate: because Gigshot has no financial stake in any gig (Gigshot Agency charges its own clients a flat fee for its own work, never a share of a gig), we never take sides. Use the reviews, the booking history, and your own judgement when deciding who to work with.
Gigshot Agency
Gigshot Agency is a separate paid business service of Gigshot Ltd for artists and their management, under the Agency service terms (/agency-terms). Its staff find local crew for an artist's shows and run the bookings in the artist's name. Gigshot Agency never charges crew: the artist hires and pays crew directly, and Gigshot is not a party to that agreement. Agency clients get no ranking or visibility advantage on the platform.
Accounts
You must provide accurate profile information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person, one account. You must be legally able to enter contracts (in most countries: 18 or older) to use the Service for bookings.
People acting for a profile
A profile's owner can give other members access to run it: a Manager can do anything the owner can in the app, an Assistant can do day-to-day booking work. Access is given by the owner (an invite, a request the owner approves, an artist link, or an agency's offer the owner approves) and the owner can remove it at any time from Your team. Every act a helper takes is stamped with who did it and is visible to the owner in Activity. The owner remains responsible for the profile.
Profiles we set up
Gigshot staff can set up a profile for an artist or venue who has not joined yet. Until it is claimed, every page shows it as "Not yet claimed · run by Gigshot". The artist claims it by signing in with the address the claim link was sent to; Gigshot's access then pauses until the new owner decides to keep or remove Gigshot as a helper.
Using Gigshot is free
Using Gigshot is free. Paid memberships are not offered at present; if they are introduced, we will publish their terms and give notice first.
Booking requests and cancellation
A booking request sends your brief (set time, venue, package) to a creator. If the creator accepts, you are connected and can coordinate in the message thread. The rate and the payment are yours to agree directly with each other.
A booking request can be cancelled free of consequence up to 72 hours before the gig. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may be reflected in reviews and can lead to account action under the abuse section below.
Cancellation / Stornierung
Either party may cancel a booking before the work is delivered. When a booking is cancelled, its status becomes "cancelled" and the connection is closed for new coordination, while the booking record and the message thread remain — they are the account of what was agreed.
Because Gigshot takes no commission and never holds, escrows, or transfers gig money, Gigshot is not a party to any cancellation. Whether a fee is owed, a deposit is kept, or a refund is due on cancellation is a matter solely between the requester and the provider, to be agreed and settled DIRECTLY between them, outside the Service. Gigshot holds no funds, does not process any such payment or refund, and does not mediate, arbitrate, or adjudicate cancellation disputes. The parties resolve them between themselves, using the booking record and the message thread as their account of what was agreed.
A booking request can be cancelled free of consequence up to 72 hours before the gig. Repeated late or last-minute cancellations and no-shows may affect your standing and visibility on the platform and may be reflected in reviews, and can lead to account action under the acceptable-use section below.
Reviews
Reviews are booking-verified: only the artist and the creator on a completed booking can review each other. Reviews are double-blind — neither side sees the other's review before both are submitted or the review window closes. Reviews must be honest and relate to the actual booking. We may remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or unrelated to a real booking, but we do not edit reviews and we do not arbitrate disagreements about a review's substance.
Messaging
Messaging on Gigshot is text-only. Do not use it to harass, spam, or deceive. Messages exist to coordinate bookings; off-platform contact details may be exchanged freely — we are a connector, not a gatekeeper.
Acceptable use and termination
We may restrict or close accounts that abuse the Service: fake profiles or reviews, harassment, fraud, scraping, or any illegal activity.
Our steps are: a warning, where we may ask you to fix something by a stated date; hiding your profile from other members, so nothing you publish is shown and new gigs and booking requests are paused, while you keep access to your account, your bookings and your messages; and closing the account. Where reasonable we take these steps in order, and we warn first, and we do not close an account before a date we gave you has passed.
We may close an account immediately, without a warning, in three cases: a profile that presents another person's or brand's name or imagery as its own; an account with no genuine person behind it; and serious abuse, such as fraud, harassment or illegal content.
You can delete your account yourself at any time from your profile's account settings in the app: we send a confirmation link by email, and deletion completes after a 30-day grace period during which you can change your mind by signing back in. You can also request deletion by contacting legal@gigshot.pro.
Reports, blocking and moderation
A profile, gig, event, review or message that is illegal, or that breaks these terms, can be reported and, where warranted, restricted.
Anyone can report from the page — signed in or not. A human reviews every report, usually within two days. No automated tools make moderation decisions; a person decides.
Where warranted, we may hide the reported content, warn the account, hide the account from other members, or close it, in the order set out under "Acceptable use and termination". Every such step comes with a written statement of reasons: what we did, what we relied on, and why.
To contest a decision, reply to the statement's contact address, legal@gigshot.pro, within six months of the notice. If you are in the EU, you may also complain to the Digital Services Coordinator of your member state, or go to court.
Reporting is for policy violations, not disputes or dislike. Repeated unfounded or retaliatory reports may lead to a warning and, in a later release, a pause on reporting.
We keep the text of a report for 180 days after the case is closed, whether or not we acted; where we did act, we also keep the copy of the reported content itself, and the decision record it belongs to, for at least three years, because it is the evidence the decision rests on. A case we never close has its own limit: its text goes 180 days after the case is a year old. For a report whose case record is gone, we delete its text after 180 days; other details on such a report — a copy of what was reported, or a name and e-mail address given before it was confirmed — are deleted only when the report itself is. If you reported anonymously on a report that still has its case, a name and e-mail address you never confirmed are deleted with the report text; a name you did give and an address you confirmed are kept with the case record for at least as long, so we can tell you the outcome and, for an intellectual-property complaint, tell the party you reported who raised it.
Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Gigshot's total liability arising from or related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid Gigshot in the twelve months before the claim arose (for free-tier users: zero). We are not liable for the conduct, work quality, payment, or non-performance of any artist or creator — those obligations exist between the parties to the gig, not with us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including liability for intent or gross negligence).
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email with reasonable lead time. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Each version states its effective date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence remains unaffected. Place of jurisdiction for merchants: the courts of England and Wales.
